Treehouse Camp
Hidden deep within the remote waterways of the northern Okavango Delta, Treehouse Camp by Setari is an exclusive-use escape offering total immersion in one of Botswana’s wildest and most untouched landscapes. Accessible only by boat and perched high above the floodplains on a secluded island, this elevated haven is designed for those seeking privacy, adventure, and a unique perspective on the Delta’s remarkable ecosystem.
With just one camp and no other guests in sight, Treehouse Camp invites you to disconnect from the modern world and reconnect with nature—where life unfolds to the sound of birdsong, rustling leaves, and the gentle ripple of water.
Accommodations:
Treehouse Camp accommodates up to six guests in three beautifully appointed en-suite rooms, all raised high in the forest canopy and linked by elevated walkways. Built entirely from natural materials and designed to blend into the surrounding trees, each room offers an open-fronted layout, allowing uninterrupted views of the floodplain and cooling breezes by day and night.
The interiors are simple yet elegant, with soft linens, canvas walls, and thoughtful touches that reflect the spirit of safari adventure. Each room includes an en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and hot-water shower, along with a private deck for relaxing above the wilderness.
The heart of the camp features a stylish open-plan lounge, dining area, and bar—also built in the trees and entirely open to the sights and sounds of the Delta. Evenings are spent around the fire deck or dining beneath the stars, completely enveloped by nature.
Activities:
Treehouse Camp offers a flexible and intimate safari program, curated by a private guide and tailored to the pace and preferences of your group:
Mokoro Excursions: Drift silently through the clear Delta channels in a traditional mokoro, guided by expert polers who share insight into the aquatic world—spotting tiny reed frogs, brilliant birds, and water-loving antelope like lechwe.
Boating Safaris: Explore further afield by motorboat, winding through papyrus-fringed waterways and secluded lagoons where hippos wallow, crocodiles bask, and elephants come to drink.
Walking Safaris: Experience the Delta on foot with a professional guide who will open your eyes to the intricate patterns of the bush—tracks, signs, and the quiet magic that only walking can reveal.
Birding: The area surrounding Treehouse Camp is a birder’s paradise, home to a dazzling array of species, including African jacanas, fish eagles, pygmy geese, and the elusive Pel’s fishing owl.
Catch & Release Fishing: Seasonal fishing is also available, offering a peaceful and rewarding way to engage with the Delta from a different angle.
Additional Amenities:
Treehouse Camp by Setari elevates the wilderness experience—literally and figuratively—while staying true to a light footprint and sustainable ethos:
Exclusive Use: Designed for one private group at a time, the camp offers total seclusion, personalized service, and a flexible itinerary shaped entirely around you.
Fresh, Seasonal Dining: Meals are home-cooked, wholesome, and enjoyed in the open air—whether on the main deck, by the fire, or packed as a picnic for a day of exploration.
Sustainable Living: Powered by solar energy and constructed from local, eco-friendly materials, Treehouse Camp minimizes its environmental impact while maximizing connection to nature.
Unfiltered Wilderness: With no Wi-Fi or cell service, Treehouse Camp encourages guests to unplug completely—focusing instead on conversation, stillness, and the beauty of life in the trees.
For those in search of privacy, intimacy, and off-the-grid adventure in the heart of the Okavango, Treehouse Camp by Setari offers a one-of-a-kind safari—wild, peaceful, and unforgettable.
