Fabulous 4 Rivers Camp

4 Rivers Camp is a safari lodge located in the private Kwara Concession of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Surrounded by diverse landscapes including open plains, forested islands, and mopane woodlands, the camp offers guests an immersive experience in one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich regions.

Accommodations

The camp’s 8 tented suites and 1 family suite sit on raised wooden platforms overlooking the river, each designed for privacy and connection to the surrounding bush. Every suite features:

  • An elevated private viewing deck with outdoor seating overlooking the channel

  • A spacious lounge area with armchairs, ceiling fan and a tea and coffee station

  • En-suite indoor and outdoor showers, double vanity basins and a flushing toilet

  • Configurable double or twin bedding, mosquito nets and in-room charging points

  • Open hanging space, a digital safe and spare blankets for cooler evenings

Activities

  • Game Drives: Led by experienced guides and trackers, these drives provide opportunities to observe a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, elephants, and more. Both day and night drives are available, with night drives offering the chance to spot nocturnal species such as bush babies, owls, and genet cats.

  • Walking Safaris: For a more intimate exploration, guided walking safaris allow guests to experience the bush on foot, focusing on smaller flora and fauna and tracking animals through their natural habitats.

  • Mokoro Excursions (Seasonal): During the flood season, guests can glide silently through the Delta’s waterways in traditional dug-out canoes known as mokoros. This tranquil activity offers a unique perspective on aquatic life and bird species along the water’s edge. Please note that mokoro excursions are seasonal and may depend on water levels.

  • Fishing: Seasonal fishing opportunities are available, allowing guests to engage with the Delta’s aquatic ecosystem.

The combination of these activities ensures a comprehensive safari experience, highlighting the diverse wildlife and ecosystems of the Okavango Delta.

Additional Amenities

  • Main Area: An entirely open-sided dining, lounge and bar area overlooking the river, with a water-level firepit for evenings under the stars

  • Swimming Pool: A pool set within the camp for cooling off between activities

  • Sustainability: 100% solar powered with backup generators

  • Family-Friendly: The dedicated family suite and Junior Tracker-style activities suit families with children aged 6 and up

4 Rivers Camp offers a rare chance to experience a genuinely unexplored part of the Okavango Delta, combining exclusive walking safaris, strong predator sightings and classic Delta scenery in one of Botswana’s newest private concessions.
